Can I Pause My Subscription Without Canceling?
KompWatch does not currently offer a formal subscription pause feature through the Stripe portal. If you need to step away temporarily, here are your best options depending on the situation.
Option 1: Downgrade to Free (Recommended)
If you want to maintain your account and resume tracking quickly later, downgrade to the Free plan instead of canceling. This keeps your account active at $0/month.
- Your competitor list is preserved (you keep the first 2 active; extras are paused automatically)
- Your snapshot history and change data are retained
- You can upgrade back to Pro or Team at any time and resume where you left off
- No re-signup or data loss
To downgrade:
- Go to kompwatch.com/settings
- Click Manage Subscription
- Select Free plan in the Stripe Customer Portal

Option 2: Cancel and Resubscribe
If you'd prefer to stop billing entirely:
- Cancel via Settings → Manage Subscription
- Access continues through the end of your current billing period
- Your competitor data and snapshot history are retained for 30 days after your subscription ends
- When you're ready to return, sign up again at kompwatch.com/pricing — your email will be recognized and your account reactivated
Note: If you resubscribe after 30 days, snapshot history from before your cancellation may no longer be available.
Option 3: Pause Individual Competitors
If you're going quiet on specific competitors (not your whole account), pause them individually rather than your plan:
- Go to kompwatch.com/competitors
- Click Pause on any competitor row
- Snapshots stop immediately — no alerts, no digest entries, no data changes
- Resume at any time with one click

Can I Get a Credit for Unused Time?
We don't offer pro-rated credits for unused time within a billing period. If you have a specific billing concern, email support@kompwatch.com and we'll review on a case-by-case basis.
