Free Trial — How It Works

KompWatch's Pro and Team plans include a 7-day free trial. You get full access to all paid-plan features with no charge until the trial ends.

Do I Need a Credit Card?

No. You can start a Pro or Team trial without entering any payment details. A card is only required if you decide to continue after the 7 days.

What Do I Get During the Trial?

Full access to everything on your chosen plan:

Any competitors you add and changes detected during the trial are kept if you convert to a paid plan.

What Happens When the Trial Ends?

At the end of 7 days, one of two things happens:

  • If you've added a card: your subscription activates and you're billed at the plan rate.
  • If you haven't added a card: your account reverts to the Free plan automatically. You keep your account and all your data, but you're limited to 2 competitors with daily snapshots.

You will never be charged without entering a card.

How Do I Cancel Before the Trial Ends?

If you started a trial and added a payment method, cancel anytime:

  1. Go to Settings → Manage Subscription
  2. Click Cancel plan in the Stripe Customer Portal
  3. Confirm the cancellation

No charge will be made. If you haven't added a card, the trial simply expires — nothing to cancel.

What Happens to My Competitors and Data?

All your competitors, snapshots, and detected changes stay in your account whether you convert or revert to Free. If you revert to Free and have more than 2 competitors, you'll be prompted to deactivate the extras. Their data is preserved — reactivate them anytime when you upgrade.

Can I Switch Between Pro and Team Mid-Trial?

Yes. Visit Settings → Manage Subscription to switch during the trial. The 7-day clock keeps running regardless of which tier you're testing.

Can I Get an Extended Trial?

Each account receives one trial per plan tier. If you need more time to evaluate, email support@kompwatch.com and we'll review extensions on a case-by-case basis.
