What is the free competitor snapshot?
The free snapshot is a one-time, no-account-required competitive analysis. You submit a competitor's URL and your email address at /free-snapshot, and KompWatch's AI crawler analyzes the site and sends a report to your inbox within 24 hours.
The report covers:
- Pricing — detected tiers, prices, and plan changes
- Features — product pages and new capability signals
- Content — recent blog posts and positioning shifts
- Hiring signals — job postings as a proxy for upcoming product direction
- Tech stack — integrations and platform signals
Is it really free?
Yes. No credit card, no account required. It's one snapshot per competitor URL, designed to let you experience KompWatch's analysis quality before committing to a plan.
How long does delivery take?
Most snapshots arrive within 24 hours. The crawler captures key pages (pricing, features, blog, careers, integrations) and an AI summary is generated and emailed to you.
Will my competitor know I analyzed them?
No. KompWatch uses a standard web crawler that respects robots.txt. It's indistinguishable from normal web traffic or a search engine bot.
What's the difference between the free snapshot and a KompWatch account?
The free snapshot is a single point-in-time analysis. KompWatch accounts provide continuous monitoring — daily or hourly crawls — and send you digests when changes are detected. The Free plan includes 2 competitors with weekly digests at no cost.
