Digest Schedule and Timing — When Do Emails Arrive, and Can I Change It?

Your digest delivery schedule depends on your plan. Here's what to expect and what you can customize.

Digests are only sent when new changes have been detected since the last one — if your competitors had a quiet week, no email goes out.


Can I Change the Delivery Day?

Free plan: The weekly digest goes out on Monday mornings by default. If you'd prefer a different day — for example, Friday afternoon to prep for end-of-week review — you can change this in:

Settings → Digest Preferences → Weekly digest day

Choose any day of the week from the dropdown. The first digest on the new schedule goes out on the next occurrence of that day.

Pro plan: Daily digests go out every morning. You cannot currently change the daily digest to a different frequency (e.g., every 2 days), but you can change the time — see below.


Can I Change the Delivery Time?

Yes, for Free and Pro plans. Go to Settings → Digest Preferences → Delivery time and choose your preferred hour (in your account timezone).

Common setups:

  • 7 AM — read with morning coffee before standups
  • 5 PM — end-of-day review before logging off
  • 9 AM Friday — tee up the weekly review meeting

Changes take effect on the next scheduled digest.


Timezone

Digest delivery times use the timezone set in Settings → Account → Timezone. If no timezone is set, delivery defaults to UTC.

To check or update your timezone:

  1. Go to kompwatch.com/settings
  2. Under Account, find the Timezone dropdown
  3. Select your timezone and save

Team plan: Real-time digests fire as soon as a change is detected — timezone doesn't affect the trigger, only the timestamp displayed inside the email.


Skipping a Digest (Without Pausing Monitoring)

If you're going on vacation or want to skip a digest cycle, you can:

  1. Disable email digests temporarily — Go to Settings → Digest Preferences and toggle off Email delivery. Digests are still generated and saved to your Digests page; you just won't receive emails until you re-enable.

  2. Pause specific competitors — Pausing stops snapshots from those competitors, so no new changes are generated and nothing appears in your next digest. See Managing Your Competitors.


Viewing Digests Without Waiting for Email

Your most recent digests are always available in-app at kompwatch.com/digests, regardless of email settings. If you want to check in before your next scheduled delivery, that's the fastest way.
